Doubtlessly, Barbara Dennerlein is the queen on the Hammond organ, marking the genre since 30 years.
With her new release "My Moments" she presents a live recording of a double concert that she played
two years ago in the concert hall of the renowned music conservatory in Piteå, Sweden. The
specialness is that Barbara Dennerlein performs solo on both her ancestral instrument, the Hammond
organ, and a pipe organ.

On a Hammond C-3 organ, equipped with her MIDI pedal, she swings in familiar manner highly inspired. The
recording reflects the unique atmosphere of the concert hall "Studio Acusticum" where a Woehl organ is
installed that is unparalleled. With 9000 pipes and 203 stops it is one of the biggest instruments in
the world and gives Barbara Dennerlein both challenge and freedom to play all facets of the instrument.
She proves impressively how she masters manuals and pedals of a classic organ with a playful ability
to retrieve varied and thrilling sounds.

What else can be written about the queen on the Hammond organ? Perhaps this: the personable musician
from Putzbrunn near München never gets tired of being curious for new ways to express her music.
It is widely known that co-musicians are not being missed in her solo concerts because of her incredible
bass play. It is again and again fascinating - like on her new live CD, at the Studio Acusticum in Piteå,
a town in northern Sweden. Barbara Dennerlein has discovered the big pipe organ that is built in there for
her music. How she plays Jazz and Blues on this instrument and skilful varies the sounds again and again!
More than 70 minutes of soulful groove and much fantasy. An extended version is also available on DVD.
