Ben Tanner
Ben is a record producer, audio engineer, and a musician based in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Born and raised in the Shoals area, Ben moved to Memphis to attend college, followed by a year's sojourn in Paris/France. After returning to the Shoals, Ben began work at the iconic FAME Recording as the studio's chief engineer and studio manager. In 2009, Ben left FAME to focus full time on life as a freelance producer/engineer and touring musician.
It was then Ben, along with partners John Paul White (The Civil Wars) and Will Trapp, founded the independent label, Single Lock Records. Ben has also been the keyboardist for Alabama Shakes since 2011 and performed on both of the band's Grammy-winning and nominated albums, Boys and Girls and Sound and Color. |
