Beverly Pitts Beverly (* 1936) began her piano lessons at age 10. Her family was very much musically inclined. Later, Beverly studied at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, from where she graduated in 1954. When she heard a record of Jimmy Smith, she turned to the organ, and bought one.   Beverly played in night clubs and restaurants. She worked for years at a place on the eastside of Milwaukee called "Sardinos".
