Jerry Mack
Jerry Mack is a BMI composer, Hammond organist and pianist. He was born and has lived his live in
New York City and the immediate vicinity. Born to two pianists, his exposure to repertoire was
vast in the early years. Immediate influences were Gershwin, Beethoven, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian,
and sounds of the Near East. His father, Richard Mack was a student of international music. Further
on, influenced by southern blues, British progressive rock and Jazz-type American fusion, Jerry
integrated his writing style to suit his most powerful influence, the sounds of the Hammond organ.
Today, Jerry composes under contract for "Sonikstep", a revolutionary library of modern commercially broadcast material. Striving for perfection, he collected one of the most powerful groups of musicians in modern history to launch his first CD, "Fortress of Feathers", to critical acclaim. He operates comfortably in virtually any musical setting, but has his feet placed firmly in the exploratory and progressive realm, behind the Hammond organ with his trio. Mack currently resides in New Rochelle, NY. |
