Perri Lee
Perri (aka Perry) Blackwell (*1925) was a jazz organist and pianist. She majored in music at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Southern University at Scotlandville, LA. In the 1940s she played piano with several bands on the west coast. In the mid 1950s she started playing the organ. She also sang, including a duet with Doris Day in the film "Pillow Talk". As a classically trained pianist and a self taught organist, she was a featured performer at the Parisian Room in Los Angeles for seven years.
