David Krull David was born in St. Louis, MO, and later relocated to Kansas City, MO. He is a Blues and Boogie Woogie piano player.   David grew up in Chicago and New Orleans, and began playing piano at the age of seven. He became, at age thirteen, interested in Blues, Boogie Woogie, Jazz, Rock & Roll and Country. At sixteen, he was sneaking into the historic jazz and blues clubs of Kansas City to listen and learn from the many legends he encountered. He often performed solo as well as appearing in concert with St. Louis piano legend and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Johnnie Johnson. Prior to his passing, Johnson rated David as one of his favorite piano players.   David met Chicago blues legend Jimmy Rogers of the original Muddy Waters Band. Rogers asked him to join the band and David performed and recorded with him until his death in 1997. During the time, he appeared on bills with artists including Dr. John, Charlie Musselwhite, Buddy Guy, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, Solomon Burke,Robert Lockwood jr., Koko Taylor, Luther Allison, Homesick James, Hubert Sumlin, Charles Brown. David has also performed and recorded with Carey Bell, Rogers' son Jimmy D. Lane, Hubert Sumlin, Jeff Healey, Kim Wilson, Elvin Bishop, Maria Muldaur, Joe Louis Walker, John McEuen and many more. David celebrated the release of his first solo recording "Can't Let Go" in October 2005. The 13 songs showcase David's versatility. While emphasizing Blues and Boogie Woogie, he adds touches of jazz, ragtime, pop, rock and country flavors. David's music was featured in the documentary Can Mr. Smith Get To Washington Anymore.
