Reginald "Sonny" Burke
Sonny studied violin and piano and played in various bands in the late 30's.
1938, he moved to New York, where he started his career as a band leader.
He wrote arrangements for Jimmy Dorsey and founded an orchestra of his own.
With his orchestra, he had much success in accompanying greats such as
Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. Sonny dies in May 1980.
