Her album "The Nurturer" is a tribute to her high school mentor Marcus Belgrave and contains original compositions that incorporate African rhythms. In 1991, she composed a musical theater piece about homelessness and the environment commissioned by American Music Theater Festival in Philadelphia and cut an album of Jimmy Hendrix music recast for three pianos.
