Alessandro Ponti
Born in 1979, he graduated in piano in 2001 and continued his musical studies
in harpsichord. Beside accademical education in classical music, he has devoted
himself to African American styles and music (stride piano, ragtime, boogie-woogie),
also through a constant frequentation of Summer Jazz Workshops in Siena and
collaborations with swing and blues musicians. A true discover of the Hammond organ
sound has led him to an evergrowing source of inspiration for the technical and
expressive potentials of his instrument.
