Brian Auger
Brian Auger, born 1939, a self-taught pianist, was first heard of when he founded the band "Trinity"
in 1965 which later became the base for the extraordinary jazz/R&B revue. At the same time
he discovered the organ sounds of Jimmy Smith and Jack McDuff which thrilled him in a way
he could not but buying a Hammond for himself. It became his favorite instrument. Auger's Trinity
(vocalist: Julie Driscoll) achieved world-wide recognition. In the 70's it was his "Oblivion Express"
to draw high attention. Brian's sometimes boisterous manner has created a very own way of playing
the organ - cooking and steaming.
