Sven Reuber Sven (* 1981) had his first contact with the organ at age 8, and got lessons from his father. After school, he started a training as a wholesale merchant. But when he heard, in 1997, the jazz organist Bernd Wurzenrainer who demonstrated organs on the Musikmesse, he made up his mind to become a jazz organist. He soon could buy a B3 which he still plays.   Sven's music is strongly influenced by the great cats like Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff, and Joey DeFrancesco. But he experienced also rock music, and played in rock bands. Presently, Sven works together with Phillipp Springer, drums, and Michael Steiner, bass, under the band's name "Devantgarde". Another group, called "Stufe 3", was founded by Helge Gottschalk, drums, Oliver Behrs, bass, and Sven on organ.
