Peter Reiter
Peter started piano lessons at age five. Later, as a youngster, he learnt to play bassoon. From 1976, he studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, and word as bassoon player for the Badischen Staatskapelle Karlsruhe in the years 1978/79. After that, he turned to the jazz, and studied jazz piano at the conservatory. Since 1999, he is the pianist of the Bigband of the Hessischer Rundfunk Frankfurt/M. He played together with Jon Eardley, Al Foster, Tony Lakatos, Dusko Goykovich, Hana Hegerová, Vitold Rek, Heinz Sauer, Chaka Khan, Jeanette McLeod and Jule Neigel.
 
Peter also worked as a composer and arranger. He wrote the orchestre suite "Hallo Marlene" for sax trio and orchestre, as well as "Weill ... die Musik nach Amerika ging" for woodwinds and jazz trio. Occasionally, he worked as a lecturer at the university in Mainz.
 
Some years ago, Peter changed his name to Peter Reiter-Schaub.
