Friedrich Paravicini
Friedrich (*1974 in Paris/France) is a jazz musician who plays cello, piano,
accordion, and organ; he also works as an arranger and composer.
Friedrich grew up in Paris/France, and from the age of ten in Kiel/Germany. He initially played the recorder, then took cello lessons at the age of seven. At the age of twelve, he added the piano, followed by other instruments. He began studying jazz as a cellist at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. Since 1995, he has worked as a freelance musician on various instruments, working with, among others, Lou Reed, Herbert Grönemeyer, Annett Louisan, Aino Löwenmark, Sabrina Ascacibar, and Jochen Distelmeyer. In the jazz world, he was a member of the groups of Esther Kaiser, Arne Jansen, Jonas Schoen, and Niels Klein, Tubes and Wires. He has released three albums under his own name. He also worked as a theater musician, for example in Robert Wilson's production of Frank Wedekind's Lulu at the Berliner Ensemble. He was musically involved in numerous productions by Barbara Bürk and Clemens Sienknecht at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg. from Wikipedia |
