Max Greger Max Greger jr. (*1951), son of the famous band leader Max Greger, started piano lessons at age five. After graduating the secondary school, he studied piano at the conservatory in München with Maria Landes-Hindemith. Beside his studies, he worked as studio musician, and was a member of the rock-jazz band Hotline playing the organ.   In 1970, he got the great chance to become a member of the famous Max-Greger-Bigband, when the pianist of the band fell ill. Max stayed with the band for nine years. In 1972, he founded the jazz trio Catch Up, members of which were Milan Pilar on bass and Charly Antolini on drums. They played together with such greats as Benny Bailey, Jimmy Woode, Herb Geller, Günter Lenz, Ack van Rooyen, Bobby Burgess, Bobby Jones, and Horst Jankowski. In the mid-1970s, Max founded the Hotline Band together with George Green, Olaf Kübler, and Lothat Meid.   Beside his activities as a pianist, organist, composer and arranger, he is the conductor of various jazz formations, playing different styles such as blues, swing, mainstream and soul. An important part of his career are his compositions for the TV series Derrick and Der Alte.   from Wikipedia
