Alan Zimmerman
Alan (* 1985 in Buenos Aires), already at 5 years of age, showed interest in the piano,
and performed classical works. He began his musical studies at the age of 12 at the
"musineira" music school with professors Facundo Bergalli, Paco Weth, Gustavo Fantino
and Fernando Paez, at the same time he also takes audioperceptive courses at SADAIC.
He began his studies of academic music with Elena Semanova (teacher belonging to the
Moscow Conservatory) and later with Susana Kasakoff. At 15 he began to be interested
in jazz, studying with different teachers, until he met Ernesto Jodos, who was his main
teacher (2004-2009). In 2005 he entered the career of "professional musician" at EMC
(Escuela de música contemporánea). In 2009 he graduated from the Conservatorio
Manuel de Falla with the official title of "Jazz Techniques", under the direction of Ernesto
Jodos. From then on, he began to take private lessons in New York on several occasions with
Fred Hersch, Marc Copland, Marilyn Crispell and Jason Moran.
He made presentations with a large number of the most renowned musicians of the Argentine jazz scene such as: Juan Cruz de Urquiza. Eloy Michelini, Ricardo Cavalli, Hernan Merlo, Carlos Alvarez, Jeronimo Carmona, Ramiro Flores, Pepe Taveira, Carto Brandan, Oscar Giunta, Rodrigo Dominguez, Carlos Michelini, "Pipi" Piazzolla, Ricardo Lew, Gustavo Musso, Guillermo Delgado, Mariano Loiaccono, among others. |
